Awards shine light on Resource Service Sector’s brightest stars

Major Sponsor:

Resource Industry Network is pleased to announce that nominations are now open for the 2015 Resource Industry Network Chairman’s Awards, which recognise the outstanding achievements of companies servicing the mining sector over the last twelve months.

The resources services business community will come together on Friday 22nd May to honour the sector’s top performing companies and individuals at a Gala Awards Presentation.

Resource Industry Network Chairman, Tony Caruso, said the awards program offered an opportunity to recognise excellence in business and the significant contribution that those businesses make to regional economies and communities as well as the whole state.

“The awards program provides a means by which outstanding performance can be revealed, acknowledged and celebrated by the whole sector. Queensland and our region in particular, are at the forefront of innovation in the services sector and there is much to celebrate.

“I encourage all businesses to bring their team along and join in a fun night with their peers as we applaud everything that has been achieved,” he said.

Mr Caruso said the addition of KPMG as major sponsor of the awards brought more prestige to the event and Resource Industry Network was grateful for their support.

KPMG Partner Matthew Gray said KPMG was pleased to partner with the Resource Industry Network as the major sponsor of the 2015 Chairman’s Awards.

“Through our ongoing discussions with clients and businesses across Mackay, I’m continually impressed by the innovation and resilience of the business community. In today’s market, I’m seeing owners and managers transform their businesses by making tough decisions to drive profitability and growth.

“For KPMG Australia, it was an easy decision to partner with RIN as the major sponsor for the Chairman’s Awards. We’re keen to recognise the many great examples of resilience, innovation and industry commitment. I encourage all businesses to consider nominating for their business, for a key supplier’s business, or for any business which demonstrates the attributes which continue to make the Mackay region the outstanding contributor that it is.”

The awards are open to any business operating in the resource service sector throughout Queensland. Nominations close 20th April 2015.
