Region’s engineering & heavy industrial sector on show at international expo

Resource Industry Network and its member companies will represent the region’s engineering and heavy industrial sector at one of the world’s premier mining exhibitions this week.
The Australia-Pacific International Mining Exhibition, or AIMEX, will be held today, tomorrow and Thursday at the Sydney Showgrounds, with hundreds of industry exhibits as well as international pavilions showcasing the latest in technological and operational efficiencies.

Resource Industry Network General Manager Adrienne Rourke said RIN had joined with Mackay Regional Council to represent the outstanding innovation and capability in our region.

“While council and RIN will represent the region and our sector as a whole, our exhibit will also feature four of our member companies who will showcase their products and services to delegates.

“We will also have additional local companies participating at the stand through brochure displays and with representatives on hand to discuss their company,” Mrs Rourke said.
The four companies participating as part of the exhibit are Mackay Conveyor Equipment, Diacon Australia, Vayeron and East West Lighting.
Mrs Rourke said each of these companies had innovative, locally grown products that they would be showcasing.

Other companies who would have a presence at the stand include SEW Eurodrive, PIMS Group, Jet Engineering, Mainetec and Techserve.
Mrs Rourke said specialised audio-visual presentations had been made to display at the exhibit on a huge LED screen.

“Our region, the sector and its innovative products and services will be front and centre for everyone to see on our 4x2 metre digital screen. There’ll be no missing us,” she said.
Mackay’s Engineering and Heavy Industrial Sector exhibit can be found at AIMEX at site number 4736.

AIMEX is a key event for the mining industry and allows visitors to scope products and services from hundreds of quality suppliers as well as discover how to increase efficiencies and profitability. It’s also an opportunity for industry to network with peers, exchange ideas and expand knowledge.
