22 February Nominations now open for the 2021 RIN Awards February 22, 2021 By Admin RIN General 0 Top performing METS sector companies across the Mackay region are encouraged to nominate for the upcoming 2021 Resource Industry Network (RIN) Awards and do something good for their business this year. Nominations officially opened today, and RIN is urging businesses to take the time to prepare their nominations for one or all the seven award categories on offer. The RIN Awards firmly place the region’s resources sector and supply chain in the spotlight, and with so many challenges facing businesses, the event is a positive way to celebrate the many accomplishments happening in the resources sector and a cost-effective way to gain exposure for your business. RIN general manager Dean Kirkwood says this year’s event is even more reason to celebrate given the challenges businesses have faced with Covid-19, and the economic contribution the sector has made to the state and national economies as a result. The awards are free to enter as many times as you like, and nominees benefit enormously through recognition with buyers, stakeholders, and government. While the 2020 event was unable to be held due to Covid-19 restrictions, the awards provide an important opportunity for business leaders to step back from their day-to-day business activities and make a valued assessment on the achievements of their organisation and staff, as well as recognise staff for the effort they have contributed to their business operations. The 2021 award categories include: Chasing Foreign Markets Award Champion Culture Award Out of the Box Award Safety Foremost Award Connecting in the Community Award Standing out from the Crowd Award Striving for Diversity Award RIN welcomes a new event major partner this year with DRA Global coming on board, alongside silver sponsor Mackay Regional Council. The Gardian Group is also supporting the event by taking up the new keynote speaker sponsorship package. Category sponsors include Field Mining Services, Local Buying Foundation, Mastermyne, BMA, Trade Investment Queensland, METS Ignited, and Onsite Safety Training Compliance. Established in 2008, the awards showcase excellence in business and the significant contribution that they make to the regional economy and community. 2021 RIN Awards nominations close on 19th April, 2021, at 5pm.
