The Queensland Government's Department of State Development and Infrastructure (DSDI) is supporting the delivery of the Accelerator Program 2024.

RIN is launching the program as a how to guide for winning work on renewable energy projects.

The Accelerator Program 2024 comprises a 5-week program commencing Tuesday, 23rd April 2024, with one session per week every Tuesday from 8:30am to 12:00pm.

The program focuses on these core topics:

  1. Understanding Renewable Projects
  2. Renewable Energy Supply Chain
  3. Available Funding
  4. Navigating Supplier Portals & Tendering Processes
  5. Pitching to the Majors

 

Week 1 – Understanding renewable energy projects and how to get involved with them. 

  • Renewable projects presentations

Week one will also include an intro and overview by RIN General Manager, Dean Kirkwood, renewable energy company reps and representative from the State Government.

 

Week 2 - How does the renewable energy supply chain work and what your business needs to do to be renewable energy project ready. 

  • Businesses working in the renewables space – Twin Hills Engineering 
  • Teir 1 Contractors

 

Week 3 – Funding Change 

  • Funding providers that specialise in funding renewable opportunities 
  • Government assistance 

 

Week 4 - Navigating portals and tendering processes – putting your best foot forward. 

  • How to strategically sell your product and/or service
  • Develop a sales & marketing strategy and campaign.

 

Week 5 - Pitching to the majors – Supply chain panel.

Participants will have the chance to do an 8-minute capability pitch to a panel of procurement specialists.

By undertaking the Company Directors Course, your governing team of directors and senior executives are provided with innovative opportunities to build their governance knowledge together.

Interactive learning is structured to promote understanding of contemporary governance topics relevant to your organisation’s operating context and to equip leaders with the skills to be more confident and effective.
